one step linear equations

Hello everyone . I am a student in the College Algebra. I like algebra very much since I was little . Unfortunately I have come to a point where I can no longer solve my algebra exercises by myself. I had a algebra tutor , who helped me so far with my homework, but I had to pay a lot of money that I had to tell him not to come anymore. Today we learnt something new: one step linear equations, and when I came home from class I realized that I can't do my math homework, and that scared me . I also still don't understand conversion of units and hypotenuse-leg similarity. What should I do now? I like algebra and I don't want to have low grades.

Can a software really help me learn my math? Guys I don’t need something that will solve equations for me, instead I want something that will help me understand the subject as well.

I remember having often faced difficulties with subtracting exponents, radical expressions and triangle similarity. A truly great piece of algebra program is Algebrator software. By simply typing in a problem from workbook a step by step solution would appear by a click on Solve. I have used it through many algebra classes – College Algebra, Intermediate algebra and College Algebra. I greatly recommend the program.
