Hello Math experts ! I am a novice at parabola finding focal diameter. I seem to understand the lectures in the class properly , but when I start to solve the problems at home myself, I commit errors . Does anyone know of any resource where I can get my solutions checked before submitting them for grading? Or any resource where I can get to see a step by step answer ?

Don’t be so disheartened . I know exactly what you are going through right now. When I was a student, we didn’t have much of a hope in such a situation , but these days thanks to Algebrator my son is doing wonderfully well in his math classes. I remember having problems with graphing, exponent rules and quadratic inequalities. Algebrator is a really great piece of math software. I have used it through several algebra classes - Algebra 1, College Algebra and Intermediate algebra. I would simply type in the problem and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.

It’s amazing that a program can do that. I didn’t expect something like that could really be helpful in algebra. I’m used to be tutored by a teacher but this really sounds cool. Do you have any links for this program?
