how to do ratios in math

Hi! Our class just started discussing a new lesson in algebra about how to do ratios in math and I did well for most assignments we had but the latest one my teacher gave really confusing so I'd appreciate if somebody will assist me to understand it! It’s a problem solving homework my math teacher gave out this day and it’s due next week and I tried doing it but still can’t get it right. I can’t answer it easily unlike the other homeworks . I had an easy time doing my past assignments but this particular assignment with specific topic of function domain gives me difficulty just discovering how to begin. I’m desperately in need of help. I’ll really be grateful if someone help me in showing the steps and how to solve it in a systematic and clear way.

Your story sounds familiar to me. Although I was good in algebra for several years, when I attended Algebra 2 there were a lot of math topics that seemed confusing. I remember I got a very bad mark when I took the exam on how to do ratios in math. Now I don't have this problem anymore, I can solve anything without problem, even monomials and triangle similarity.
